Sulman leads ChatGPT Engineering at OpenAI, driving the development and scaling of one of the world’s most impactful AI products. He pushes the boundaries of innovation by turning cutting‑edge research into practical, accessible tools that transform how people interact with technology.

Previously at Meta, Sulman founded and scaled Instagram Reels, IGTV, and Instagram Labs, and helped lead the early development of Instagram Stories. He also brought MetaAI to Instagram and Messenger, integrating generative AI into experiences used by billions. Earlier in his career, Sulman was on the founding team that built and launched UberEATS from the ground up, helping turn it into a global food delivery platform. With a track record of marrying technical vision, product strategy, and large‑scale execution, Sulman focuses on building products that meaningfully change how people live, work, and connect.

Raphaël de Thoury has over 20 years of experience in deep-tech entrepreneurship and innovation, he has founded and sold startups, directed innovation strategies, and supported tech transfer and incubation initiatives in France and Canada. Most recently he led PASQAL Canada as CEO and was responsible for the company’s North American expansion at its technical center in Sherbrooke, Quebec. At PASQAL, a global leader in neutral-atom quantum computing, Raphaël built strategic academic and industry partnerships while helping deliver full-stack quantum solutions across sectors like energy, materials, and finance.

A frequent speaker at international conferences, he is recognized for bridging cutting-edge quantum science with real-world applications. Raphaël is deeply committed to advancing quantum research, education, and commercialization in Canada and beyond. In September 2025, he will be embarking on an exciting new role in Waterloo, Ontario.

Nabil G. Fahel is a founder, entrepreneur and investor based in Canada. He has advised numerous startups since starting his career in tech in 2005. As a director at Communitech, Nabil mentored hundreds of startups before helping Shopify open their first office in Waterloo Region prior to their IPO. Nabil subsequently joined Shopify as head of enterprise partnerships to help them establish the Shopify Plus office in three more sites locally and build out an enterprise partner network in the US.

After Shopify, Nabil helped launch and establish Terminal Labs Canada, the first international division of a venture-backed, San Francisco-based startup. As Terminal's head of partnerships, Nabil led the expansion in Waterloo Region, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Today, Nabil is an executive advisor at Open Quantum Design, SVP Partnerships at StartupSoft, and co-founder of FOUNDERS AND, ETHGlobal, Black Market Hummus, and Waterloo Poker Classic.
